====== Master Research Assistants (RA) Stipend ======
==== Eligibility ====

Every master student is eligible to a monthly RA stipend during the academic year unless  

  - you are currently on leave 
  - you are doing a (paid) full time internship 
  - you have suspended your lab activity(*) for more than 2 months in a row 

* What counts as "lab activity" can vary. e.g. For first year students, the minimum is attending meetings and reading literatures; For more senior students, more research activities are expected. **The topic you research on should also be approved by the advisor in advance**; For 3rd year students, writing thesis also counts as lab activity;

The amount you receive depends on the year of study: (same with other groups in Lab 2c)
 
  * 1st year: 800/mo
  * 2nd year: 1000/mo
  * 3rd year: 1200/mo

Note that you may receive extra amount if you contribute to special projects or take on additional responsibilities in the lab.   


==== How to apply ====
Every month Ms. Shengnan Li will send out a form for you to renew your monthly stipend. You need to briefly summarize your work in the past month and the plans for the next month.
